What is Glycogen
What is glycogen after all, and why is it important in assessing and understanding the technical details of a weight loss program? First of all, when carbohydrates are take into the bodily digestive system, they are first broken down into compounds of sugars which are consequently transported off by the blood stream and circulatory system and then stored in the various systems of muscles as well as in the liver as the compound known as glycogen. As it turns out from the biological perspective: Glycogen is actually one of the chief energy sources which is utilized in our bodies for sustenance of life processes.
